Brilliant. It's been a while since I've enjoyed watching one of our players actually just defend. It's a masterclass at times
Did anyone notice how for the TAA chance where he came bombing on that Ruben, despite being tight on Mane at the edge of the area and that obviously being what his attention was mainly focussed on, saw and pointed twice towards the run of TAA for Cancelo to cover? Cancelo either still didn't notice or was still more concerned about Mane. Hopefully just an example of 2 players learning to play together (or one - Cancelo) and Cancelo will learn to trust in Ruben and listen to what he says. He's a class act

Pleasantly surprised how Dias has settled into the team and the premier league , he doesnt take risks , his pass accuracy is excellent and first and foremost it looks like he loves defending , if this continues his partnership with Laporte is going to develop into one of the best in europe barring injuries with Walker and a rejuvenated Cancelo either side , we coud have the best back four since Roberto's days

Decent game for Portugal tonight , a shame the clown playing beside him Fonte didnt play well , giving free kicks away and diving into tackles , one of Dias qualities is he jockeys players and doesnt dive in , top centre back.

played 90 minutes and looked fine , problem is i think there is another game in a couple of days against Croatia on Tuesday , fingers crossed he is on the bench , but doubtful he was head and shoulders their best defenderDid he remain fit ? It's all I care about.
