Ok, he played the wrong ball but we still look so much more comfortable with him at the back. And apart from that ball it was a very good performance. Rodri and/or Cancelo do their job and it shouldn't have been a problem. Playing the wrong pass on the half way line with defenders back shouldn't have been a critical error but because of poor defending it was. A sign maybe that he isn't the finished article yet but still very happy and have high hopes for him so far

Agree & have more confidence he will learn from his mistakes compared to others.

That pass wasn’t on, but I have a feeling he was getting frustrating like us all in previously passing the ball side to side with little options in front of him & decided to force the ball.

I thought I saw Ederson give him a bollocking when he passed back to him and Ederson almost played us into big trouble. Or was it someone else?

Brilliant presence.
This is the key with him. He's a man mountain just like Kompany was and he plays with similar physicality. When you're watching he's just always there in the right place and I'm sure the attacker feels his presence throughout the whole 90 mins. On the contrary, Garcia is completely the opposite - he looks small and has no presence or physicality which shows up when he plays alongside Dias.

Solid again and although Garcia didn’t do too much wrong, I want to see someone better alongside him. If we can get Laporte fit and them two can build a solid partnership, I think we improve significantly.

Defence not the problem today - they scored a great goal by an individual piece of brilliance. Both Dias and Garcia did their jobs. Our problem was when we had the ball our two wide men stood around and offered no movement at all. This is why Pep needs to stop his love affair with Mahrez - put Sterling back on the right and play Torres on the left. He did the same with Sane who took ages to break into the side but once given a run added so much attacking threat. Torres will do that given a chance. I can't understand not playing the lad.

Still not done anything brilliant but isn’t making mistakes either which is encouraging. Can’t expect anymore from him than we’re currently seeing. Settled well.

Already settling in well.

Playing at the back for City is probably the most difficult job in world football. Especially with how we give the ball away for fun further forward these days.

There’ll be a few communication issues this season, but it’s a good sign at how he’s started here.
