I still think in a pure defensive sense he is a nailed on starter for us. His biggest problem is he is seemingly regressing when in possession. Seems to take an extra touch far too often and invites pressure.

Liability at the moment and our worst centre back in possession. The masterstroke in bringing in Akanji means it's not a huge issue for us right now but he needs to improve after Christmas.

Pep has 5 elite centre halves,i'm not sure he knows which pairing is the best, couple that with a lack of full backs....and i'm not convinced he knows our best pairing/formation.It seems Dias is suffering more than the others with this issue.

We have had such issues with defensive fitness this season and it has affected him. Dias and Stones are my favourite combination, when both fully fit, but there has been scant opportunity for them to play together. Hopefully, he will be able to get some more game time.

Struggling isn’t he. I’m sure he can recapture his top form. Class is permanent.
Is he? I think this year on the whole he's been very good. Weird sub from Pep bringing him in when Akanji was doing fine if anything.

Shows how coming on as a sub can be difficult, especially defensively. He came on and looked like he wasn’t ready for the game.

Been out of form for a while now.

Seemed very casual when he came on today. Needs to step up significantly if he wants his place back.
