One of only a couple of natural leaders in our timid squad,and a defender any team in the world would have in their side.

So,as above,wtf is going on?

Pep's choice of back 4.or 3,and lack of stability,is causing us all sorts of problems at the minute,yet he appears oblivious to the issue.

Its baffling.....Frustrating and annoying doesn't come close to describing it.
 
Didn't he come back from the world cup with another hamstring injury?

Not a mind reader here but he's had 3 hamstring injuries in the last calender year.. probably being eased back into the run of things for the stretch run.

Theres being eased in and not playing at all. You cant ease someone in by literally not playing him

Why is he not getting even a few minutes at the end of a game?

And if there is a genuine worry about his hamstrings , why is he on the bench?
 
I’m baffled by what is going on with Ruben.

I want to see toughness and leadership at the back. He needs to be there because we lack a hard edge. I well remember the games where he and Stonesy were impregnable. They would slap each other on the back and any other player who defended well. He gave us a real example of high voltage leadership.

These days our central defenders are a pale imitation of the Stones/Dias partnership.

Get him back out there Pep and let him lead the team with fire and passion from the back!
 
A big reason why we could play 2 seasons without an out and out striker is because our defence(Stones-Dias & Dias-Laporte) was fucking solid. Now it's a choppy changey heap of shite(Ake aside). Like we have 2 of the players available to get the backline solid again. But they are both sat on the bench not getting any minutes to get them up to speed. Like Laporte came on due to Stones injury vs Arsenal and was solid then he's back on the bench. Why? To get Walker in? Pep doing my head in.
