Its been that way since Pep arrived and we haven't done badly.

But we were probably at our best in the years Vinnie was captain. If Mancini and Pellegrini had given players the vote, I think our captains would've been something like Tevez -> Barry -> Milner -> Silva. Things could've been very different.

Sometimes I just want the manager to take charge and give it to the guy who is clearly the biggest leader in the side.

No chance. Kompany would have won by a landslide every season, they treat Vinnie like hes their dad from what I have seen across Twitter and Instagram etc.

The manager empowering the players to pick is the best option every time. Several players have spoken about Gundo and his leadership quality. It isn't some sympathy pick because hes leaving.

An absolute beast last night. Doing the splits to block that shot from Musiala was just epic.

Totally agree his personal performance was so powerful and decisive.

The team has looked more organised and stronger since he has been back, which is a reflection of the positive qualities he brings to the collective performance.

Having said that, the whole team were excellent last night

Yeah one of our best ever collective performances that. And for the whole game as well. A real maturity to it. When under pressure there was nothing silly, we got rid when we had to and we settled in, stayed organised and battled.

That block he had on Musiala's shot was immense. Watching the replay, it looked like Eddie was going the other way and wouldn't have gotten there

Bayern would've been 1-0 up, instead we scored 90 seconds later. Can't understate how important that was
A key moment of the game.

Ruben clearly has great leadership qualities and should be captain. His fighting attitude and no nonsense talking make him a very inspirational character.
