Because Hansen saying nice things about City, and patronising comments on how lovely the club is because they have stability, is much more important than winning titles.

I said 'virtually guarantees', but why let that get in the way?


His track record + our current squad + our resources = A very,very,very good chance of lifting the title, in fact it would virtually guarantee it. See, it's not that difficult an equation.

If that means a bit of bad press (not something we're strangers to anyway) then I'm sure we'd cope with the stress of it all.

Would it matter if Mourinho brought us some bad press? The media despises us and makes things up if something legitimate isn't there anyway. Whenever the club does something inspiring or charitable you're hard pressed to find even a snippet in the national newspapers, but any hint of scandal and they are on it like dogs. Mourinho would use the media hatred of us to help create a siege mentality anyway, as he does at nearly every club.
