3 year contract for Mancini

Can't believe this thread and the vitriol on it.

Some saying the players have no appetite for the fight and have conceded the title, yet we're writing off the season and discussing management issues already! This is completely irrelevant until they're laying the boards down over the Etihad turf for The Boss's arrival in the middle of May.

Sort it out! Expectation levels are completely unrealistic amongst a lot of us.

I'm concentrating on one thing only; Arsenal.

You have to be kidding mate. We have a team of world beaters. If my expectation was for them to build a hospital in under a week i would say they are too high asking them to win a title is a natural expectation for a £200 million pound team

I wouldn't give bob another contract let him serve his current one I think it's been hard too evaluate this season as poor after the tevez incident ballotelli being a dick dzecko just not up too it bring a couple of forwards in & a top centre half let the aforementioned leave I think we would piss it next season

You see the problem there is the manger brought 2 of the forwrds and publically cut his own throat with the Tevez affair
Can you see where i am going with this

The question surely is with the team underneath

Hart
Richards Kompany Lescott Clichy
Silva Yaya Barry Nasri
Aguero Tevez

subs
Milner, Zabaleta, Balotelli, de Jong, Kolo, Kolarov, Dzeko

Would Mourinho, or Wenger, or Ancelotti, or Hiddink, or Guardiola

have won the league?

So what's a realistic expectation? Winning the league by 2, 4, 8, 12 points?

We paid transfer fees well in excess of market rates to assemble the players we have, and those players were bought to form the core of our team, not simply tinker with it. Football is a team game. City's squad has been around a fraction of the time that the Rags have. Knowing without thinking how each of you play in a team is worth 15 points a season; that comes with time; togetherness comes with time. It's no different from any profession or occupation. We are not equal to or greater than the sum of our parts at the moment, whilst the Rags are punching collectively above their individual weight. But we will be in the future...

Would it matter if Mourinho brought us some bad press? The media despises us and makes things up if something legitimate isn't there anyway. Whenever the club does something inspiring or charitable you're hard pressed to find even a snippet in the national newspapers, but any hint of scandal and they are on it like dogs. Mourinho would use the media hatred of us to help create a siege mentality anyway, as he does at nearly every club.

I agree with this much. He would use all the negativity as a force for good within the club, stoking up a them and us attitude which is currently lacking. I'd still prefer the club to stick with Mancini (unless we collapse between now and the end of the season) but there is no doubt that Mancini can be less than sophisticated in his dealings with the press.

I dont think winning A competition this season was an unreasonable expectation. I dont think being top for 5 months and expecting us to win the title is an unrealistic expectation, all this collectivness crap. The best the team was is when they were getting to know each other. All 3 new players

It's fucking scary

Give Bob a chance. He will and the players will learn from this season.

A lot of people on here are so short sighted I didn't really want to post. If you (I say as a collective) want to deem us like the press a failure because of the money spent then you do have the right too. However in all of the universes creations time has been a constant in to which you can adjust and evolve to your habitat. Bobby and the players are starting to realise their pecking order and what it WILL take to be...
