He is doing ok. It's a very physical game and he's shown a few glimpses of ability but no major contribution just yet.

What I would say is that there's a huge difference between European and South American football at U20 level.

The speed and physicality at this age is so different. South American football is rapid and non-stop, without huge amounts of build up or possession. It's very physical and frantic.

Echeverri stands out due to his ability to make something happen and he has quality. He flits in and out but looks like the best player when on the ball. As said previously in the thread his style is very KDB. Creativity is his number 1 focus and he's good at it.

I stand by my words, it was a frantic match on a poor pitch. To think that it's anything close to PL quality would be delusional.

Echeverri is extremely promising but he won't be dislodging Erling, Phil or Marmoush just yet.

Why should I quote you, when you just gave your opinion and you are entirely entitle to it. And at the same time I agree with some of your statements and said that you weren't going against the kid at all, starting my post with a "I don't think it's the case".
Yet I can see from your view and tone what might triggered Passarella.

Neither I was making a direct comparison with EPL or any League at all, nor talking that much about Echeverri himself in that part, just saying that not seeing anything good in a 6 to 0 perfomance from the team providing that was a bit too much, that sounded quite patronizing for me.
