30 | Claudio Echeverri - 2025/26 (on loan at Leverkeusen)

Do I correctly recall him getting the injury.. THEN SCORING THE FREE KICK.. and putting in a full 45 min and get subbed off at half time??

Is the order of events correct??

yeah makes sense that it's not a super serious injury. you just don't continue with the intensity he played with for 30 more minutes if it was.

Yep. Plenty of ankle related injuries where you dont truly feel it until you stop and take off the boot then it balloons and you suddenly can't stand on it nevermind smash one in from 30 yards.

Couple of weeks, not a problem really, I dont think he'll have had much more involvement anyway if truth be told.

Give the lad a little rest, he hasn't had a proper one in a long time given River plates season schedule and then playing in the international competition immediately after before coming straight here. Then ideally get him a loan.

I'm gonna say it'll be about a month until he starts light training from that timeline, after he starts adding pressure to it and so on.

Well luckily... it's still June, even with 1 month out, he is still well in time before the season starts and should be able to get back to fitness for it.

He will be basically just start his vacation right now, while the rest play the CWC.

I agree with others, it seems he is part of Pep's plans in terms of a young player he wants to integrate and perhaps push the others more, Echeverri is clearly showing a drive that Pep likes, and probably hopes it puts the others on their toes.

I think and hope he will stay with the squad to January at least. He will be eligible for the EPL and it will give us time to properly assess him. Come January we can always loan him to Girona.

@twosips running with the rumour of the Looking like the lad is oing to Roma on loan......

Another one of these lads who are bought, and get precious little game time before being loaned out, eventually to be sold? I thought he looked okay, the small bit of him I've seen.

that longo fella was all over the Reijnders stuff, so feel there's a decent credibility in the rumour

I hope the CWC cameo isn't the last we see of him.

He's got some talent and I find it a bit strange we're loaning him out rather than letting Pep work his magic on him.
It’s about game time , he isn’t going to get much ahead of Foden ,Cherki, Savinho, Bobb. Up to him if he goes to Roma to show he’s better than those players. If he can establish himself at Roma. Also up to Savinho and Bobb to prove they are better than Echeverri if they stay.
