30 | Claudio Echeverri - 2025/26 (on loan at Leverkeusen)

Oh, this is just daft.
Marmoush - look at his Germany stats.
Rayan Cherki - have you seen him?
Erling, Foden, Bobb, Doku, Savinho.
Come on man.
As I said earlier we have made sone really good signings but this young kid is special and it’s plain to see so why can’t we just keep him round the first team and bring him in in games like most teams would do but selling him wouldn’t suprise me one bit atm . Your right cherki aswell . Can’t wait for season though .

So why say that we no longer dine at the top table?
It feels like you allow your emotions to take over your brain and then you post some stuff without thinking.
The window doesn't close until September and we have no idea how things are going to shape up...yet.

Pep wants consistency reliability and them knowing there roles in the side plus doing what he coaches into players! It’s why he rarely play young players unless he has to!

Some people don't know how lucky they are, we have a really exciting squad of players.
Only if they're actually played and allowed to play to the strengths, rather than being held back and what limited game time they do get they're forced to play walking football.

Looking this morning you have aggregators stirring up hate for some of the greatest players to have played in the PL. They use inflammatory language and tone and it feeds this beast that 'uncs' (a horrid, disrespectful term) need to go, en-masse, and be replaced by vibrant young things. The game has not changed - the best blend youth and experience.

If everybody plays to their individual strengths, team structure falls apart.
We have delivered consistently outstanding football by embracing gifted individuals operating within clearly defined roles. That does not need to change.

We seem to be the polar opposite of the rags, they're constantly having youngsters in and around the first team (even if they are all overhyped garbage) where as we just don't give them any real opportunity no matter how genuinely talented they are or could potentially be.
And how many league titles has that brought them recently?

I'm sure there must be a happy medium somewhere between the two situations.
Absolutely agree - does make me laugh the posts (mainly social media) that says get rid of all the experienced players and play all the kids. However i am pretty sure these posters would be the first moaning when they struggle.

The way i see it happening at the moment is that we have brought some very exciting younger players and they are being phased in whilst the older players are seeing out their contracts. The goalie situation is what i think is the clearest change of direction in the club, Trafford in to work with Ederson for a year, he then takes over as Edersons contract expires. I can see Similar with Khusanov, Reis and Bah as Stones, Ake and Akanji do similar, Diaz staying to keep experience hence the new contract so we dont lose all our experience at the same time.

I am disappointed not to have seen more youth come through and would love it as much as anyone, but when we have been at the level we have been that is not an easy task for anyone to come through.

As i say i do see a different approach coming from the club at the moment - even maybe a plan.

Is any of this true about the people family who represent him that they are moaners make a lot of noise regarding his game Time? If it is true these rumours to Roma may just be true? Because we know Man City Don’t like players representatives make a lot of noise in the media..

Absoloutely, if you look at whats happening you can see the changes in progess. People need to remember though we also have to deal with things as they are not as we'd like them.Players on multi million pond contracts with agents and legal teams.Progess is being made but we will need patience it won't all happen in one summer, even so think we'll still be strong and challenge for the league this year, because we've actually made much more progress than some will acknowledge.

We have no idea what is true and what is not true.
Journalist creates a story, aggregators feed it.

I just don’t think we kicked on when we were at the very top and our recruitment let us down . The season after the treble we barely got over the line and if was individual brilliance that did it but from a position of strength we signed. Mediocre players and now it tells . ATM we are not near the top and if we went toe to toe with Madrid and Barca Bayern and prob even Liverpool we would cone off second best . Pep needs a massive season to get us back up to the top but not signing a right back when it’s plain as day we need one is not a great start .

Jesus - the level of melodrama on here at the moment is off the scale!

It’s like fucking Mumsnet on here!

I’d say I blame the kids, but I suspect some of you are fully grown adults getting yourselves all hysterical and carrying on like four year olds because of some unconfirmed gossip on Twitter.

Get a grip!

You've got to admit that watching people explain to other people that the stuff they get from the media is useless drivel whilst the stuff they get is straight from the ITK zone.

Don't believe everything you read unless it's what I read :)

We know this. It IS DONE!
Now, we begin again, with a host of new players.
I think you are wrong about our relative position and I believe we will prove it very soon. We cannot keep trawling over last season.
Let's see who is right.

Not signing a right back isn't the start though is it, it's the end. The 9 signings we've made so far in 2025 were the start,as were the new coaching team. Lets ignore all that though and concentrate on just the one thing.
