30 Years Later: The Kippax Revisited booklet

@ancoats let me, 12 year old at the time, run with his crew to city. Will never forget the first time going up the steps to sit near the white tunnel. One of the lads walked behind me underneath with his hands over my eyes, all the way on the bus he kept saying just wait until you see the pitch, just wait, so the anticipation was building before I even got in there.
So when I was met by this lush green turf and the different coloured seats in the platt lane end, I was hooked immediately.

And that was the start of my love affair with city. August 9th 1985.

Thanks Lee..

We all got the buzz just like that, from watching on TV to seeing the size of the stadium and pitch and the fans and sounds, My grandkids did the same when I took them for their first games at the Etihad, it was that jaw-dropping moment when they see inside the stadium.

Great times Lee and Maine Road under the lights was a special place every time you still turned up you got the buzz

Defo Ste. I did similar things with my kids first visit to the Etihad, covering their eyes up and then letting them see it, somehow they didn't seem as excited as I was with my first time at Maine Road ha ha.
It was Mike Shore who covered my eyes up when we went, he was buzzing for me it being my first time.

Such long lasting memories mate that will never leave me.
