Nice to see him get the plaudits he deserves on MOTD2 last night. He sometimes gets taken a bit for granted by fans, but we're very fortunate to have him. There's literally not a single goalkeeper in the world that I'd swap him for.
The grief he’s had from some of our ‘fans’ has been an absolute joke. I guarantee not one of the posters who were all over this thread telling us how poor he was won’t pop on to admit they were wrong.

Wouldn’t swap him for anyone. Sound handling, great at sweeping up behind the defence, and routinely makes good/big saves.
Levels above any other keeper with the ball at his feet. No-one else comes anywhere close.

There’s no doubt he’s playing the best football of his City career at the moment. Can’t be a coincidence that we’ve now got the best back-up keeper we’ve ever had?

Not sure if it is down to Ortega but competition is a good thing.

Eddie is having a purple patch. I don't know how much is down to improvement in his game but he has improved, as he should. However, he faces less shots than anyone else so it's possible for the view of his shot stopping ability to be distorted for better or worse. I have always maintained he was better in that regard than many would allow.

Anyway, long may his form continue.

And, yes, he should have got the Lev Yashin award ahead of the Villa keeper!

Seems to have really been working on his shot stopping. Superb save from mctominay and the one early second half from a dipping shot from ratface was handled really well. It would have been easy to spill that but he was assured.

He is a goalkeeper believe it or not he will never stop working on it.

From day one this guy was the real deal, from day one he has transformed the way we look at keepers.

And from day one he is without the finest distributor in the history of goalkeeping.

Revel and enjoy this guy in our shirt, he is a unique and magnificent player.

To be clearer, i dont think its so much his shot stopping, which as you say they work on constantly and is pretty good, but his positioning. His angles have improved ten fold.

Keepers in the majority get better and better with age/experience, that certainty applies here.

He's never been bad but this season he looks exceptional.
Not sure if its the competition from Ortega but his concentration and one on one saves have really improved.
When Hjolund went around him last weekend, he made sure that the player went away from the goal but more importantly, made sure he didn't make contact with the player.
When he first came to us, he was more rash coming off his line. Now he looks in total control
