That is by far the best article I have read analysing what he brings to us. He is absolutely unique. Many joked about him playing in outfield positions. This analysis shows that he already largely is. A midfielder who could spray 80 yard passes all over the pitch, to feet, would be lauded as one of the best in the world. Ederson is basically our left centre back. We play every single match with one more player than the opponent, because nobody is going to have their keeper man mark Haaland, to allow a centre back to step up… so we literally do have an extra player whenever we have the ball.
