I love Ederson, he is key to a lot we do but simply being our last line of defence is the bare minimum surely?


What a weird weird statement. Ederson saving us (a goalkeepers job) is what he is there for? I can't think of the last world class save that dug us out of the shit from him which is probably why everyone is getting giddy over a normal goalkeeping performance.


Why is there another member firstly accusing me of not being a blue, and making wild statements that I wasn't there (based on nothing) from a fan who doesn't go to any games herself. The fucking irony.

That’s not the point. I never said every City (capital C if you can be arsed) is fantastic every week, I merely asked you why you kept posting about people praising Ederson - now you’re throwing your toys out and saying the board should be closed down. I try think it’s nice Eddie getting some praise, in my opinion he gets a lot more criticism than he deserves - don’t mind people having that different opinion though.

Joelinton spinning and smashing a a ball from about 8 yards out and ederson saving with an outstretched arm is a "normal save"? Summerville curling a delicious effort heading straight for the top corner only for ederson to somehow get a finger tip on it and divert it wide is also a "normal save"?

I'm very, very curious to hear what you would deem a world class save if they aren't it.

I am also not a rag, you have liked several of my posts prior to this exchange, sticking up for City in discussions with Arsenal mainly. Still, the point is you are claiming someone wasn't at the game, when they was whilst saying they don't support City. All because you disagree with their opinion. Is that not just very odd? I can be critical and positive about many of our players, do we just have to be blinkered and biased to be blues? You need to go watch Everton and see Pickford make worldy saves cos he over embellished or is in the wrong position.

The best goalies don’t have to make dazzling saves cos they’re typically in the right spot, got the right angles. Van der Sar was a brilliant goalie and hardly
Ever dived full length cos his positioning was so good.

Keepers can make worldy saves by saving worldy shots and it have nothing to do with positioning. Making normal saves shouldn't be overhyped was my point. If any of them had gone in we would have questioned Ederson.

I think the fact it was Traore May have made it less of an achievement to some people.

Yes, Traore should have scored both (and the one he put over because Ederson dived at his feet), but the fact it was Traore and not even he knows what he’s going to do makes preempting him nigh on impossible.

They were literal match winning saves in the end!

i dont think keepers often make penalty saves tbf but if that is all he does wrong he will still be ok for me
