It was a decent save but nothing more for a PL goalkeeper. His drawbacks massively outweigh his strengths and have for a good while now.

Nah I am very critical of eddy and i thought it was an unbelievable save. I am honestly a lot more mad at gvardiol today

Ederson has many qualities but shot stopping is not one of them. Great save early but that was bad keeping for the goal

Kept us in it? He made one save. Keeping a team in it is what Allison did mid week. It’s literally his job to make one save. Maybe even two.

He’s fucking shite.

Even in his prime he was a good shot stopper nothing more tbh, he rarely if ever saved us like Courtois, Neuer, De Gea, Alison, Oblak did for their clubs, (the best goalkeepers of that era) put it this way you can’t expect more than 2 good saves a game from this guy. He reminds me of a Victor Valdes level keeper, a good goalkeeper who’s overrated by biased fans or people who don’t watch him closely much and that’s in his prime. In 2025, he’s pretty much one of the worst shot stoppers in the PL. Still a legend, but it’s time to go get Maignan or someone now.
