Peps first act was to get rid of Hart because the keeper is key to everything he does in possession. Everytime ederson is out it's very apparent how much we rely on him and that's when the opposition haven't planned for him being missing. He's more integral to the gameplan than Rodri.

With no ederson, you see opponents press us high again and there's a return of the regular turnovers we saw pre-ederson and any team that can outrun us (which currently is pretty much every team) will have success against us.

You've got opposition players admit they don't press city high purely because Ederson exists. Some seemingly don't appreciate the advantage that gives us but they will realise once he's gone and everything changes.

Irreplaceable. Biggest loss under Pep to date if he goes this summer. We cannot play without him. Have to do everything possible to keep him.

No-one is irreplaceable. Not even Pep, not even Mansour.

We can play without any of them. Have done before, will do again.

Things change, life goes on. If Ederson wants to leave, thanks and good luck to him.

The club have used him in the new kit promotion today, so maybe he is.

He’ll have to recover from severe dizziness after City decided to put him in a washer.

That's a good sign imo.

It seemed like he was affected by the rumours last season, but if he's fully committed there's no-one better for us.

With us bringing in young defenders, we're going to need his experience back there too.

Seems like he is staying, whew!

I think replacing the GK is the most difficult thing to do.

Him staying keeps us more stable.

Hope he stays.

Some of his mad shit plays with my head and it feels like he is the Raheem Sterling of goalkeepers. Frustrating but obscuring the good or brilliant stuff.

Looking at his data in the league alone (26 games only) there is an argument that he was the best goalkeeper :)
(stats based on keepers with >10 apps)

2nd - Goals conceded p90
1st - Clean sheets p90
!st - Assists (4 is a mad stat)
1st - Pass completion % by some distance for long ball launches (> 40 yards)
1st - Sweeping/defensive actions p90
1st - for highest positive "post shot xG"

Post-shot xG effectively assesses the difficulty of shots faced on where they actually ended up. Based on this metric he saved over 5 more goals than the his post shot xG and the best in the league. The bottom line, and why bolded, is this is for doing what goalkeepers have to be good at - making saves!

He would be a huge loss. Some may not realise until he goes.
