Well I am glad that he will be at City next season and that we can put the uncertainty to bed. Ederson is a top quality keeper. He has his strengths and weaknesses but I wouldn't want to change keeper on top of all the other changes.

I hadn't realised he only has 1 year left on his contract. I suppose at the very least we should get a very good year out of him as he'll be keen to impress with him being potentially out of contract next season, but I'd like to see him do the long term here and retire a City and probably Premier League legend.

He epitomizes the change in English football when Pep got into the swing of things and the culture of the entire country (right down to amateur teams) changed with everyone playing from the back. And no one does it better than Eddie
