33 | Nico O'Reilly - 2025/26

His vision in the middle is limited. However, his speed and athleticism is a breath of fresh air amongst the likes of Nico G, Rodders and Bernie.

I thought he was a big part of why were so dominant in the first half. He is ahead of Gonzales in the pecking order IMO, Gonzales can be the Rodri back up he was signed to be.

He's playing with two slow 30 something year old midfielders including one who did his ACL, he's 20, big and strong, he should give us more legs and power when we're struggling in these second halves, but looks like he's knackered like the other two, it still does my head in that we can't string a few passes together with 3 highly technical midfielders for large parts of second halves, this needs to be fixed immediately.

Brainless negativity.

He is a midfielder. Left back was nice to get him used to first team football. Just midfield now please

I swear some folks can post things that have you questioning if they are really City fans or opposition fans trolling. Their braindead hot takes against an academy player playing himself into England's World Cup starting 11 at that.

Great first half showing that level strength and maturity in such an occasion.

He does follow his man too closely and too far into the opposing half when they drop deep to receive the ball. Got turned a couple times by Szoboszalai but that’ll come with experience.

Mate I'm not really criticizing him, I just don't understand why we struggle so much to keep the ball with 3 midfielders every single second half, it's just baffling, with Rodri and Silva you can say they're old and can't keep it up for 90 minutes but that's probably why Nico is there with his physicality and youth to help out, and yet the same problem persists, I don't necessarily think it's Nico's fault, there's something really wrong with our fitness.

A candidate for MoM for me.

What a player….and plenty more to come from him.

We have needed a player with legs in the middle for a long time.

Needs a year or two playing with Rodri with him eventually taking over the reins.

His pressing and physicality stopped Sbozolai from being effective for Liverpool on the pitch (besides the free kick).

Pairing him on the left also let's him cover defensively for RAN in a position he is familiar with.

442 diamond at LCM suits him incredibly well.
