33 | Nico O'Reilly - 2025/26

I think he really helps us if we concede a turnover, very quick to get back and snuff out the danger.
Don't think it's a coincidence we've looked more secure since he came in.

Buzzing for him. Threw himself into a new, less glamorous position when many young 10's would sulk at being played left back and not give it their all to learn the position.

He is improving rapidly and getting the rewards for it.

That position is his for the taking if he wants it, lewis-skelly is nowhere near as good as him and isn't playing for club, livramento is injured and is a right back by heart, there is a genuine chance he could be the starting left back at the world cup if he carries on.

Well done Nico. Reward for some for performances this season.

I remember back in the seventies, when you really only got an England call up after establishing yourself for a few seasons in the top flight. Rarely would someone as young and raw as Nico get a call up. How times have changed.

A great left back already, just wait until he gets his chance further up the field! He has the physicality and the technique, positional awareness is coming along, so pleased he's one of ours! By contrast, take a look at the attitude of that other young left back, at Arsenal, Miles Gobby-Skally.

I remember the 5-0 against Liverpool, Salah rinsed him repeatedly but couldn't shoot for shit. Still, Mendy got a couple of assists in the same game so couldn't complain much
Yes I do, if that’s the one Mane got sent off. Salah was subbed off at half time, I think. I couldn’t believe what Klopp did as he was all over Mendy.

Completely right! Bizarre decision and neutered any attack they could have.

100% deserved and the right call from Tuchel.

O’Reilly has been my MOTM on the polls on here about 5 times this season. Other than Erling, he’s easily been our best player so far. Has also adapted to CL footballer like a wisened pro.

If he plays well in these games, he could well nail down the LB spot as his own as there is no one out there as good as him atm.

Long term, for us, I see him becoming similar to Yaya as a powerful, marauding CM who takes games by the scruff.

Totally deserved has been excellent and consistent this season, not wanting to be negative but I wonder will he be used as a scapegoat by the media if he plays and England don’t perform well,we’ve seen and heard it before..Anyhow good luck to Nico ..
