Well done young man
I always remember Mendy for one incident in a Derby at OT which summed him up perfectly. In one of his rampaging runs up the flank he was dispossessed almost in line with the United box. He actually stopped and laughed before starting to amble back. By the time he had just crossed the half-way line the ball was in the back of the net.
He was a number 10 mostly and occasional 8. Think he played a few games at 6 right at the end of his time in the EDS, but not much.Maybe I am mistaken but I am sure he played more of a Rodri role for the EDS.
Alright so Michael Keane mk2Couldn’t defend for toffee.
Yep his mum would be over the blue moon!Just over a year since he made his senior debut, in the Community Shield in August last year. Now he's been called up to the senior England squad. His family must be so proud of him.
Who would you not want to see in front of you in the queue at Greggs? If Shaw is the answer, what is the question?
I'd like to see him get a go in the middle, but I think this first touch lets him down sometimes. You can get away with it more often at left back, but we can get punished if he has a loose touch in a contextually poor area in the middle.I am intrigued about whether we will see O'Reilly play in another position. I think he is such a good player that we should be careful not to hinder his development by forcing him into the left back role if his talents better suit another position. We should think long term as well as the next game.
Agree with all that, apart from the 'too good for LB' comment?I see people complaining about his first touch.
No worse than most other players in our team. I think he is pretty good. Especially in tight spaces.
If you are comparing him to Marhez or Dave Silva then yes. But very few at that level.
Iv seen a fair few bounce off Phil, Rodders, Bernardo , Nunes already this season.
Not to mention Earl but that’s not his strength
This lad is on the right curve to be outstanding for club and country.
Too good for LB but the games are helping his development
FailsworthWhat part of Manchester did he grow up in (Wiki only says Manchester)?
Failsworth
The Gorton one?Someone told me he was a Mount Road boy.
The Gorton one?
