Because you all sit on your high morale horse and think you are so much better. We know the majority of liverpool supporters are great. And why do we take such pleasure from kicking someone while they are down? Just because you feel it have happened to city, doesn't make it okay to lower ourselves to their level. Fucking rise above it, and take a reality check. Garbage thread, with no real truth, just bullshit. Now throw hate at me instead of making up half truths about Liverpool.

At every little possibility to take a dig, and make up some crap about another club, this site seems to go for it. Just because we have come into some luck, doesn't mean we have to become jerks like the rest of the arrogant top club fans. Lets continue to be levelheaded and honest, instead of imitating a certain club that shall not be named.

No-one's making up half truths. They got 35,400 at the game. For a club that constantly drones on about how they deserve success, and how big they are, that's pretty fucking awful.

A fanbase of 35,000 having dropped to midtable shows what a great club they are. We sold out Maine Road when we were in division two whilst our 'neighbours' were winning the Champions League. Once more, we prove that, if any club deserves success, it's us.

Liverpool = shit fans.

Your missing the point. What is being made out is that the Dippers are glory hunters, they go on about their world famous support but the fact is unless it's a big european game then anfield is a library. It's the irony and, in a way, hipocracy that shines through as a result of this attendance, and that's why the thread is not pathetic.

If you mean the replies as in "they spent all their dole last night" then yes, that reply is pathetic, but the majority of replies have been truthful and well thought out responses. Just because you don't agree with the opinions expressed in the thread doesn't mean you have to start using long words and actually get on your own moral high horse. If you have a soft spot for Liverpool, then don't read a Liverpool related thread on BM which will clearly be filled with anti-scouse ideals, as it may upset you.

There will have been some kind of vigil in Liverpoool today. That would explain the absentees.

That shouldn't make a difference isn't there a vigil everyday In Liverpool?
There must have been a vigil about the other vigils then. Otherwise I am at a loss to describe how these great fans, that have seen their team through thick and thicker, would not show up in their droves.

liverpool v notlob would not be considered a good enough game for the " daytrippers" who populate anfield. and fair play to those who did attend as its a long way to travel back to the 80s every other week. liverpool fans have always been fickle , and most never even go the game and cite " not being able to get a ticket " as the main excuse??

Parallell lives, lad.

Irrespective of what you think of the red dippers, that attendance will surely be the end for Hodgson. He can make all the gaffs about the fans he likes, but history tells us that chairmen will always pull the trigger once attendances start to drop, and 35k at Liverpool on New Years Day is appalling. Add in that there is a new board looking to get on side with the fans then Hudson will be a gonner sion enough.

not sure hodgson would be sacked, think it would have happened by now. liverpool are loyal in general to their managers and their attendances are the least of their worries
