36 Crosses....???

Go a goal down and we resort to some fucking awful football. Our heads completely go.

Crossing aimlessly, passes underhit or overhit and devoid of all control.

I am sure there was an article done and basically every defeat raises the bar in terms of how many crosses we put in. It's bizzare considering no one on the attacking side of the team can win a header.

To be fair, it's baffling that a team with so many good crossers scores so few goals from them. De Bruyne, Cancelo, Mahrez, Bernardo, Foden, Mendy. Walker and Zinchenko used to be good at them too.

Lofting crosses into the box is useless , especially in our present team, getting behind the full backs and hitting the ball hard and low across the 6 yard box is so difficult to defend, yesterday we forgot how to do that.
Or Leeds set up to cut that option out, it isn’t like Bielsa is some know nothing coach.

We moved the ball about so slowly (goal apart) we made defending very easy for them.
We did move the ball slowly, partly because of the midfield 3 we picked, which we had good reason to pick. Secondly because we were looking for altenatives to the ball behind the full backs which they had covered with their low block. As I said Bielsa wa set up for it.Thats why Stones had so much space in front of him.
Now our first choice midfield may well have picked a way through, probably would have, however that doesn’t make the choice to rest them wrong. Even if we get knocked out mid week it would still have been the right choice.
As Pep was saying for weeks there probably wasn’t a worse team for us to play between Dortmund games.
Sometimes the opposition get a bit a credit it, and that last goal could have gone either way we nearly got away with it, we didn’t but no harm done.

The only thing you can say for sure about their winner, was that had we been in that position we'd have missed yesterday.

Too many of our players thought turning up was all they had to do, several had stinkers, but we still had 29 goal "attempts" and only managed 1 goal, very reminiscent of the start of the season.

Add to that Pep picking a side that have barely played together, then making a bizarre change when Ake went off, to make Fernandhino CB, and Zinchenko LB, to accomodate Gundogan as some sort of hybrid DM/AM (no I've no idea where he was meant to be playing), and playing Mendy's useless twin at LM, and it's quite frankly no surprise we lost.

I predicted they would score again just after half time, as we had set up to be countered on, and they had the players to do it, and but for a great save from Ederson it would have been worse.

My word.. so many of you have short memories..we lose a game and all of a sudden we need this ,we need that..sometimes in life you get the rub of the green, not always though..we are top of the league, in a final ,in a semi final, and hopefully another semi after this week.. wtf do you boys want ? Personally hate this approach to the team..we have the best coach in the world, have had success beyond my wildest dreams, and still not good enough..quit picking holes..we are not Rags, we are City.. we can not win every game..if you think that Pep, the board do not recognise the need to progress, which they are surely doing, have faith in them..I understand a forum is about opinions, but equally the comments made are frankly ridiculous given where we are this season.
