3D TV is for thick, armchair rags.......

I saw a snippet of the 3D tv for football in the cinema at pars wood and it looked really good. However it will not stop me from going to see City every other week and as many away games as I can get to. kiam what I find most offensive is that you have tried to make out students are as bad as dirty rags and for that you are a twat.

I dont know weather this is true or not but heard from a mate that Sky will be getting rid of normal Sky TV and will just be having Sky HD sometime in the near future there discussing it and everybody will have to pay an extra £10 or something.....As I said I dont know weather its just b*llshit or not.

Surely they cant do this, Has anybody else heard anything?
sunday morning two weeks ago
installation guy on the phone to check i'm in as he's coming round to fit us up with Sky HD

what Sky HD i ask?
the one you ordered
no i haven't
you will need to phone Sky then

phonecall to Sky later they claim we had ordered it but were quite happy to cancel for us???
my dealings with Sky have always been more along the lines of 'impossible to cancel'

i think they were trying it on

We have always had problems from Sky, We got Sky Plus in a while back we had it for over a year, I turned it on one day and it says 'No satelite singnal recieved' So we had to pay money for a new box and money for sky for sending the call out charge (Because we had the box over a year).
A few months later the same thing happened 'No satelite signal recieved' So we rang up again and told them the problem and they said we will have to pay another £90, I said 'We hadnt got the box year so you lot should be changing it for free seen as you gave us a faulty box' I asked to be put through to the cancelation department and they were offering silly deals to stay with them!

Come on now, I said ' usually students' meaning not all. You must admit during football games for the rags et al there is a large proportion of these tag along student fans?

Like I said early, I was a student so I have seen it first hand on a number of occasions.

I'm really looking forward to 3D TV- especially football. I don't just watch City games, right now I watch spurs, villa and liverpool too for obvious reasons.

Seeing these teams getting beat in 3D sounds ace and i'm certainly not going to go to all their games!

To be fair I don't think that it was a dig at students more the fact that so many ManYoo fans don't even bother to try and get tickets. When United are even playing at home my local in Rammy is heaving with them.

It was a go at students and rags, they are both guilty of clogging up the pubs and providing us with this fake football support.

And you clogg up oxygen. Are you aware that there are plenty of student blues who follow the club everywhere?

As regards to 3D tv no matter how good it is I much prefer being at football, love the atmosphere, and getting the full view, love the banter etc.

This 3D football haunts my yesteryears, as a kid I loved playing football and I dearly miss playing it now. I can still smell the mud, deep-heat and winter green (puffy creams for the tarts), mixed in with the chaotic shouts for the ball and instructions from the side lines. The studs (metal in my days) on the changing rooms floor, I can still feel the excitement running up to the kick off mixed with the disappointment of a loss, missed opportunity of scoring and worse still "being subbed". My wife does'nt miss the bruised legs in the morning due to me reliving the previous days match and booting that missed clearance during the match successfully onto another meadow whilst asleep (oh those beautiful sleeps)

I miss the friendship and the banter and the after match pint, waiting in the cold and rain for a late lift to away matches, still finding mud on your elbows after the showers.

Will watching 3D football take me back, NO but I'm willing to give it a go.

Football means different things to different people and if watching 3D football satisfies someone well then good, but it will never replace watching City at the COMS or actually getting your kit on and breathing out of your arse.
