I saw a snippet of the 3D tv for football in the cinema at pars wood and it looked really good. However it will not stop me from going to see City every other week and as many away games as I can get to. kiam what I find most offensive is that you have tried to make out students are as bad as dirty rags and for that you are a twat.

Come on now, I said ' usually students' meaning not all. You must admit during football games for the rags et al there is a large proportion of these tag along student fans?

Like I said early, I was a student so I have seen it first hand on a number of occasions.

You didn't originally. I agree with you that there are a large number of plastic students but then all those types are plastic whether they are students, employed or otherwise, so their is no need to target students. A RAG is a RAG whether he/she is a student or not. If you refer to the Manchester student community (of which I am a part of) then you will find a lot of students supporting united despite them all pretty much being Southerners so at least their we can agree that they are nothing more than petty glory hunters.

To be fair I don't think that it was a dig at students more the fact that so many ManYoo fans don't even bother to try and get tickets. When United are even playing at home my local in Rammy is heaving with them.

It was a go at students and rags, they are both guilty of clogging up the pubs and providing us with this fake football support.

What a class A wanker you are!!!

To be fair I'm a student at Manchester Uni and a season ticket holder for 11 years (Terry Cooke was my first City hero!) but there are lots of student plastic 'fans' about. The best comment I've heard comes from an Arsenal 'fan' who said 'Wenger, you're a joke. Tell the team to pass the ball.' Enough said. The only reason I watch matches in the student bars is for the cheap booze!

Those of you slagging 3d football will be eating your words once you see it in action,it isnt here to stop people going to football its just to improve the picture/quality for those who watch it on telly!

Cant remember such outcry when sky said they were gonna show games in HD ffs

You cant beat going to the match and watching a game but when you see the depth this brings and perspective it'll blow you away.

Like it or not its the future, all the games at the world cup will be filmed in 3d and normal.

I am a student and am not in one bit offended. Anyone who isn't a student has missed out on an opportunity that in most cases they couldn't have the opportunity to take up. Those that have a go at students are only jealous because they realise graduating with a degree allows you to earn higher sums of money than if you hadn't had that opportunity.

RE: 3D TV, I don't think it's neccessary. HD is good when its free but don't see why you would pay extra for it. As long as you can watch it then thats fine.

RE: United "fans", The ones that go are worse than the ones that don't sometimes. At least the ones that don't 99% of the time you can beat in banter.

I was playing poker last night and two rags on the table were going on about how much it would cost. I just said "why don't you try going to the game instead of watching it on telly, it's in 3D for fucks sake", I don't think they actually see this as a option!!

3D is just a way for them to innovate something new and gain more money, simple. Will it add to the experence? Yes, i think it will. Will more united fans be watching 3d games then city? Yes, they will.
