honestly i dont think the definition or clarity is ready yet. I prefer watching football in HD and would stay there until the release of 3d Hd.

The 55" Samsung LED 3D TV is HD. If I'm not mistaken I think all 3D TV's are HD as standard.

And yes, the experience is well worth the money if you can afford it.

Don't wait until the price comes down because by then the next 'Big Thing' in TV will be available.

Next on the cards is 21.9 aspect ratio, Philips already have one out for £4999

Then OLED TV's above the current 17" will come onto the market

THEN there's SHD (Super High Definition) which is 8000p which will be available within the next 3 years.

THEN there's Hologram TV and the list goes on!!!

My point is that the stuff we get is always 3 steps behind the available technology, that's how technology companies keep their tills ringing!

Anyone got a samsung then? Think I'm gna go buy it to be honest, the only thing is it won't fit under the tree, fek it I'll have it now!!

IMO a plasma tv is best for 3d. Go instore and ask for a demo on various tv's. There's some good package deals about at the moment from samsung and panasonic.

Also remember VAT goes up to 20% soon, so be quick!

My girlfriends dad just bought one, i'm looking forward to watching a few games on it although he is a rag! He got a good deal with it as well 50 inch 3d TV, 3 pairs of glasses and a slim line ps3.

also, you get the VAT back on Sony Bravia's. You can save several hundred that way.

I picked up the NX713. Utterly sublime.

-- Thu Dec 09, 2010 9:01 pm --

Super HD aka 4k is just over 4000p, not 8000. Still, mad.
