Spurs then Chelsea 4 days apart.

1 week rest and then Norwich, 4 days later Sunderland, 3/4 days later Chelsea, 2/3 days later Barcelona, 4 days later Stoke.


Then Man utd on 01 March and then The captial one cup final the NEXT day.



Pellegrini NEEDS to sign at least one player.

The Manchester United game has been postponed.

Thing is that we are playing or second team against Chelsea, this means that our first 11 will be fresh to face Barcelona.

Barcelona will not be 100% fresh as they have a game three days before playing us. We have an advantage over them.

And you think Barca will play their strongest team 3 days before playing us?

They certainly won't field 11 fringe players. The La Liga is very important for them.

It's just not realistic. Money is not the issue. No top side is going to sell a key player to a rival in January. So you are looking for hidden gems, prospects or second choices.

I guess short term united aren't a "rival", but longer term they are more than likely to be, so selling them a good player could well bite Chelsea hard on the arse.

Suppose £37 million was too much to pass on and he wasn't playing regularly anyway but things can change. He wasn't getting a look in but Oscar has only missed a couple of Premiership league games all season and Hazard hasn't missed a single game. Will they maintain that all season without injuries or suspensions as we come into the business end of the season ?

If they miss out on the league or go straight out of the CL or FA Cup then they might find that £37 million was quite the deal they thought it was and then Matta and a few others will be with the 'rags' next season especially if they qualify for Champs League this time round. Barca is a two legged game and I cannot see either side putting the game to bed in just one game. Stoke at home we should be able to cope with a Garcia/Yaya combo. Just need to rotate players as we have done. So far it has not sacrificed results. The defensive tweaks are more important. Pellegrini learnt a lesson on Saturday, Demichelis, Kolorov and Richards cannot play together at the back. This is a key lesson that fortunately did not cost us. Too much attacking intent from that defense.
