Again every time he plays I must be seeing a completely different performance than what the consensus of this forum seems to be. I truly don't get it. What games are people here watching?
is that in a good way or bad

I think he's playing a lot better than the consensus and I don't understand what apparent howlers I am misisng
yeah i agree i think the same. Maybe it's off the back of the debut in the premier league that people are judging him from

Agree I see him getting incrementally better each game, as though he’s learning and settling in, maybe his first game has set expectations too high for out of the box

He needs to keep playing to get more rhythm, but we also need to have players like Bobb and Cherki in to feed his runs. It was no coincidence that he flourished at Wolverhampton when they played.

He's doing OK. Sadly the weak link in our midfield is Bernado. He runs himself in to ghe ground but doesn't have the pace on the break.

On the positive. Foden seems on his way back.
The weak link in that regard, is Pep. There us no sensible reason to stick an aging Bernado out on the wing. It makes zero use of what he is good at.

Holding on to the ball, passing and keeping possession. Its like watching a new and less athletic version of Jack on the other side. :(

Too soon to write him off but his regression since the Wolves game has been worrying.

I honestly thought he was great at Monaco. Also thought Gonzalez was great till the penalty farce. I thought Rodri struggled and hope he can soon get back to his best.
yeah i agree with everything. Glad that so many other fans all saying the same thing about nico g and not letting the pen dictate there view on his cameo

He strikes me as not a bad player. I neither like him or dislike him. He has shown flashes of brilliance, pre season I think, he's not hit them heights in the PL. But at the same time he hastnt been shit or useless, so I guess a good member of the squad.

My view is so far so good. Definitely room for improvement and be shocked if he didn’t improve - I think he’s got the lot. Just needs maybe a few more games(and goals) to put it all together

It’s worrying how many fans allow themselves to be influenced by the negative media narrative. I prefer the evidence of my own eyes. I am very optimistic about this group of players with Ait Nouri and Marmoush to come back in. We battered Monaco. Shit happens sometimes.

that's a brilliant way to look at it

Think he's still bedding in and learning the ropes, for me he seems a bit too far forward and is leaving Rodri/Nico isolated which hampers our control.

Clearly very good. I'd give him a break for away games and be a bit more defensive with Nico or Kova with Rodri.
