Reijnders clearly has loads of talent. So far, in his first year in the P/L, it's not quite clicking. GIve him another year and then decide.
I preferred Chevy ChaseI don’t know what to think of this player as he scores goals but then becomes David McCollum for an entire game . He needs a really good World Cup and hopefully kicks on next season .
The backups weren't terrible. Ake, Trafford, Stones, AN, Nico, Kovacic all had good games. The main weakness was in attacking midfield where Phil, Reijnders and Marmoush were poor (imo). That's why I laugh when commentators and pundits bang on about our second string being so strong etc..
It's fucking not. We would end up bottom half if we had to field them all season.
A very fair assessment.Reijnders clearly has loads of talent. So far, in his first year in the P/L, it's not quite clicking. GIve him another year and then decide.
What makes you think he'll get a regular start next season? He had his chance here when he was getting picked and failed miserably. A fair weather player if ever there was one.Reijnders clearly has loads of talent. So far, in his first year in the P/L, it's not quite clicking. GIve him another year and then decide.
If he's here next season (i think he will be) he'll get plenty of opportunities to play. Like always it'll be up to the player to take them. What makes you think he'll get a regular start next season? He had his chance here when he was getting picked and failed miserably. A fair weather player if ever there was one.
I’m probably in this camp but his languid style and smile makes it look like he isn’t trying which is annoying. Am sure he is but it doesn’t always look that way. I think he needs to beef up physically tooReijnders clearly has loads of talent. So far, in his first year in the P/L, it's not quite clicking. GIve him another year and then decide.
Who he trusts? yes! Who is likely to be moved? No.He criticises nobody in public and neither should he.
He team selections tell you more than his utterances to the media rabble.
And his selections over the last 6 matches tells you who he trusts and who is likely to be moved on in the close season.
A lot like Rodders then in his first 18 months with us.What makes you think he'll get a regular start next season? He had his chance here when he was getting picked and failed miserably. A fair weather player if ever there was one.
If we had our full 22, our back up 11 will be top 7ish.That's why I laugh when commentators and pundits bang on about our second string being so strong etc..

Kovacic managed to start for the first time this season and look really sharp.Neither were fit enough.
Can't see it happening with Reijnders. To be honest there's times the system exposes the 6 as in the case of rodri and Nico G and fern before them. Reijnders position is different.A lot like Rodders then in his first 18 months with us.
I still believe in the lad as you can see he`s got the talent but whenever he plays he just cant show consistency in his game. Hopefully that will change. Can't see it happening with Reijnders.
