Great strikers can create something on their own and score a goal out of nowhere, they get in dangerous positions, link up play, rough up defenders whole day. Gaby does none of these, he doesn't get service as his mates don't trust him unless it's a tap in. Countless examples from last game where he could have taken a better position. Check out my post in players forum where he just stands when Raz wins the ball.
It's always a lonely day for Gabby AND Aguero when the selfish duo of Mahrez and Raz start together.
It looks good on paper but it's our worst lineup by far.
the stats i've posted elsewhere about win percentage in the PL prove it. Now for my own amusement I've compiled the stats for all competitions,
HA! It gets worse! with them starting we are an abysmal 14-7-2, and converting cup games to points they got 44 of 69 possible, 64% 1.9 points per game.
Then with only one or the other starting, mostly Raz, we are 25-4-3, 78 of 96 points possible, 81%. 2.44 points per game.
Basically dropping Marhez gained 17% more points overall and 1/2 a point per game, and our teams goal rate went up 1/2 a goal a game.
no one gets service when those two start, cus there are four teams on the field, City, the opposition, Mahrez, and Sterling all wanting the glory.
your post above is very exaggerated. "Gabby does none of these" wrong. "his mates don't trust him" nope, "countless examples" nice try with your buy off generalization.
And on your one perceived situation from an obviously biased agenda, I have to say, what are you talking about man? In your example Gabby is in the center of the box with a clear sight to goal when Raheem has time to pass, then the next shows Raheem took too long and his pass is blocked, ffs. He also had a clear shot to goal on his right foot, didn't take it, and Silva was in a closer goal scoring position anyways, look at Silva with his arms out begging for the ball, if he has time to do that, Raz has screwed it up on his own. total crap analysis. If you think in any way shape or form that Gabby was the reason for that loss then, whoosh.
