40M Bid from Corinthians

Fkin hell where did they get the money??

First suspicion that came to my mind also mate.
from the guardian...

"Corinthians' ability to fund a deal for Tevez came as a surprise but with a new training centre and 68,000-capacity stadium costing £140m due to open in 2013, they soon expect to become the biggest club in South America. The club reportedly bring in £40m every year from their TV rights and £23m from main shirt sponsors Neo Química."

Despite this, a move seems very much questionable.

By the way, what's Aguero's shooting ability like? Don't underestimate this. Mancini's system relies on such abilities. I doubt it's better than Tevez. People are letting their personal feelings get in the way of their judgement. Tevez is a class player. He certainly couldn't have played the same roles as effectively as Tevez did last season. However, Aguero is a better plan for the future, I guess.

No deal with Corinthians, i dont trust them, we will probably have to sue them to get our money back and that would take years.

Sorry, I'm probably missing something but couldn't we just be extra careful when closing the deal? Or is there something about Corinthians that make them very sneaky?

What's their credit rating like? Seriously doubt we'd turn down that amount of cash money, but if it's on the "never never" I'd say bollocks to it.

1, They are a Brazilian team i.e. bent as a nine bob note funding and staff wise.
2, Kia is well involved with them
3, Kia is involved (worth saying twice)

So yes we should be very wary, espesh if its a staggered payment that involves future revenue they get.
Why i hear you cry, well because they could easily get all sketchy over payment claiming this that and the other after a bit, trying to wear us down basically for a lower price.

To everyone, Call me what you want; I need to say this.

People often look at transfer evaluation as incontrovertibly true. Football directors are clever people. They're aware of what stories can do to a club's value. Exaggerating prices in the media is more common than you think.

I'm not saying Tevez or any other specific player's huge transfer fee is complete load of bull. I'm just saying that you'd be surprised how much bull there actually is. If you're wise; you'll eventually see what i mean.

Not sure of your point bud, he is overpriced ? or what, not being an arse mate, just struggling to grasp your point.

People shouldn't automatically assume every price the media slap on tevez as unequivocal. I'm certain that at some point in recent memory, a 'big' signing has been exaggerated through the media claiming inflated prices.

Ahh got ya, yeah if it sells papers nice big round numbers help a lot indeed bud.
The financial experts teams employ now are not mugs and soon get rid of the joke offers i think, but you are right we dunno any exact figures.

Hang on boys and girls !!!!
Do you honestly believe that Cookie and Marwood are going to do a deal which see`s City short changed ??
Fuck off, they will ensure that whatever monies are agreed, will be in the best interests of City and the finest details will be to OUR benefit and no fucker else !!
I for one one fully trust our Club to get the best deal and will not be held to ransom, just to suit a fucking ex car salesman and his fucking lacky !!
