He’s probably a bit tired, but give him a couple of days rest and he’ll be good to go.Is he ready to play as CB against Liverpool ?

They are very different players I agree and Khus is clearly the more physically strong and fast, equally last week we created more and supported the attack better , for which Ricos passing, positioning and ball carrying had something to do.I'm not sure on that . Khusanovs talent and potential jumped out last night excluding a few mistakes . Mostly early in the game . Even in a position he's never played in .
His atletism is in a different world to Rico's aswel.
I am gonna sound like a Lewis hater now but isn’t he always out of position? As we saw in the first game against Madrid? How his opponent is always far away from him? Same with ball carrying. He moves like 5 meters and then passes it sideways. They are very different players I agree and Khus is clearly the more physically strong and fast, equally last week we created more and supported the attack better , for which Ricos passing, positioning and ball carrying had something to do.
No he wasn't, I was sittting on the halfway line level 3 at the front with a very good view of the shape. Our back five was essentially playing as a two with Dias and Ake at the back and Stones in front with Gvardiol and Akanji and then Rico relatively tucked in.I am gonna sound like a Lewis hater now but isn’t he always out of position? Rico is a RB . Khusanov never played there in his career . His first time away to Real Madrid . With 2 of the best players in the world doubling up . With his right winger nowhere to be seen . At times he carried well and created openings including for Fodens penalty.
None of this is meant to critical of Khus but Rico had a very similar game in overall quality.
Neither perfect, both a bit let down by their team mates.
30 seconds into this, I thought he did very well
Most of Rico's development was as a midfielder. I am not trying to compare them but the criticism of them .Rico is a RB . Khusanov never played there in his career . He done alright, he wasn't as good as made out on here and most of our problems came down that side and understandably so. He wasn't terrible and certainly didn't look out of place but he was on a hiding to nothing. There is a good, tidy player there though.
McAtee and O'reilly sat for a couple of months getting zero minutes of PL football, McAtee has had more minutes since then but O'reilly is still not getting any, and they can't learn anything if they never play.Options were very limited last night but you must surely get that there’s a spectrum:
- Throw them in to sink or swim, regardless of occasion
- Blend them in carefully over a reasonable period of time
- Give em a couple of minutes now and then.
It’s not the black and white situation you cheekily imply.
