Some blues in this thread should be embarrassed with their OTT criticism
Players learning during first season is option only for favourites here not applied to others
Treatment towards Gomez wasn’t good either
Compared that £100m guy who still gets pass

This person is first from his country to play here doesn’t know English didn’t have training. Didn’t have coordination and some people were waiting to make scapegoat

That’s the second post I’ve read saying he didn’t train with the team before the game. What evidence is there of this?

Pep said it in post match interview didn’t he? There’s pics of him training but not a full session, no defenders in so just rondos I think

The PL press would be something completely new. Hasn't trained to know our system or where players will be to pass out from the press . Done alright considering the start. A few flashes of promise . Hard to be too assertive when on a yellow .

Leyton Orient now to find his feet after a couple weeks under his belt .

Orient has to be the Reis debut.

Just seen this going round Twitter. Credit to Jackson nice gesture to do that.

Frozen with fear - what fuckin game was that twit watching.
Yeah the lad made an early mistake - you know under ZERO pressure whatsoever after being chucked in at the deep end!!!!
Goes on to save a certain goal, and put in a decent performance, until withdrawn as a result of the early yellow and his last challenge.
But it's US so every negative they can trump up eh
Edit: Pep pretty much said after that if Stones wasn't made of glass and we didn't need him so badly for Brugge the lad probably doesn't start. Situation called for it

Nunes has as much to blame for this error & goal. The guy throws the ball straight to a Chelsea player with no city shirt around

The kid had a nightmare start but I thought he grew into the game pretty well to be honest. Doesn't know the lingo, the players, the system and thrown in after being in the country for 48 hours.

Some great signs as well, quick and aggressive, after a couple of months and some language lessons I have high hopes for him.

The player and crowd reaction for him was also a joy to watch, at a real low point he will be thinking everyone is behind me and hopefully that will give him a boost

Absolutely this, I really felt for the kid, but the support from the fans was exceptional.

I think it helped that the captain on the field was Bernardo and he talked to him and calmed him down - they must speak french.

And the crowd also rallied behind him to the ire of the half time instant footy experts who came at him with all sorts of knives.

Confirms what we knew they always had an agenda!

BTW have to hand it to the lad.. he didn't wilt or give one inch and he was physical when he needed to be. Got some good blocks in vs their shots too.

Think he needs to be paired up with Dias or Ake and then we will have a solid back 2!

Good post

Maybe thought the header the safest option and keep possession but has yet to settle and see other options (use his feet and go to his left) as well as get used to the speed of the premier league.
