Not good enough for me
He wasn't today.

Love him but he was poor on the ball today. Hospital pass after hospital pass, and the passing died too often after he and Rico got stuck in the right.corner.

And NO! It wasn't all Rico's fault. Half the time he was just him being tentative, being unsure, and lazily waiting till the last second to make a poor pass.

Has to do better. Id rather have him play as the last man in the middle with options rather than the one who splits wide and gets stuck on the side.

His defending and speed was still very good. But his ball playing was horrendous today.

Better days ahead.

Today & everyday.

Its obvious how his teammates avoid passing the ball to him as much as possible

That might affect the build up from the back

Thats why I think sooner or later, Vitor should be ahead of him in the pecking order.

Khusanov might best the best defender in the team, but definitely he is the least comfortable one with the ball.

someone of you can't wait for a bad game from a new players to slam them down such a sad time this fan base has become this season

Not really, that was my observation once City became interested in signing him.

Beast without the ball, bomb with it.

I hope he proves me wrong so we don't have to spend another 50m on a replacement.

he's been very good with the ball better than a lot of people gave he credit for before we bought him

Star comment.

Bang on.

Doing my best to avoid being a fan boy, he was doing well before the own goal which was (as all own goals usually are) more a cause of others than himself.

I noted a couple of difficult passes under severe pressure but nothing that was terrible or not on keeping with everyone else and the team performance as a whole.

The gross negatives following the match is just plain weird.

thank you :) exactly he's done wonders for this defence i like the fact he's thinks about defence first we need actual defenders who want to stop goals only criticism from me is sometimes he's a little slow when getting out as with there second goal but that will come the longer he players forming a good partnership with dias

he is a work in progress and has shown enough to indicate he will be a player for us but he shouldn’t be playing every game. He isn’t ready to be a starter in a champions league chasing side. Needs time to mature. Any errors are on pep and txiki for going into a season with so many injury prone defenders and allowing Walker to go without replacing him.

Definitely not at the level of his previous performances but still did OK.

Only saw the own goal at the match (can’t bring myself to watch any replays) but appeared to be really unlucky.

I have been surprised how good his passing has been so far….yesterday there were so many players that didn’t seem to be able to make a simple 5 yard pass.

He is one of the few plus points so far in this awful season.

Young players are inconsistent.

Khusanov has had an unprecedented run of games for a player his age. A bad performance was bound to happen sooner or later.

It’s rare that 20 year olds (especially defenders) have two top class games in a row, never mind five.

He’s earnt the right to have a bad one. It’s what he does next which is key, after his start against Chelsea his attitude was phenomenal so let’s see what he’s like after a full bad game.

amazing what a bit of effort from opposing team can unsettle a team
they knew work rate was answer they'd already done it once this season

I think it was unique to yesterday, excluding the Chelsea match that was due to nerves. He has been decent on the ball in other games. He is not John Stones level. But he is comparable to Dias and Ake on the ball.

Poor guy had Lewis next to him. So he basically had to cover for 2 players again since we didn’t have a Right back

Pep signed him before Stones, Akanji and Ake were sidelined for three months or more, so he is obviously in at the deep end. That said, the OG could have happened to anyone, he was in the right position but was just unlucky. I am impressed with him so far.
