45 | Abdukodir Khusanov - 2025/26

I can’t complain today. He did well. I’m still not convinced that he won’t be sent off 7 mins into the Brighton game!

There’s definitely a very good player in him, he’s just really raw and rash at times.
Aye he’s excitable!!

Agree he needs time to mature but he’s got the materials to be a beast. Played some nice passes too.

Really good today I thought. That **** Delap doing him into the advertising boards should be an automatic red IMO for dangerous play.

100%. How can throwing someone into the advertising boards be the same punishment(a yellow card) as what Nunes got for arguing with Enzo Fernandes, particularly as it both came during the same incident

Looked good when he came on, except for the one sliding tackle near the halfway line.

He won the ball and it was a very good tackle that won applause from the crowd but it wasn't a wise decision at all, had he missed that, they're clean through or he's getting sent off.

Those decisions are by far his biggest problem, they need cutting out, it's very Otamendi, but Otamendi had an excuse for it, he didnt have the pace to recover so felt he had to go and win it, khusanov can easily get back against anybody, he doesnt need to be doing it which makes it infinitely more puzzling why he does.

Looks like he's going to play quite a bit for the forseeable with the injuries picked up today, he's got to make sure he's disciplined and remains available.

Spot on.
He was really good today, but when he made that tackle I shouted 'stay on your feet!' He made it, but if he hadn't any top-drawer winger takes advantage. He's young, but it is his decision making which can improve - he has nearly everything else.

I wouldnt even say decision making, aside from some dodgy passing the rest of his decision making during the game is generally sound its exclusively just this desire in him to go full steam into a challenge whenever possible.

If he doesnt get it under control its going to hold him back considerably as opponents will bait it out of him and we'll be playing a lot with 10 men. He's got other weaknesses that need to be worked on but Its really the only thing stopping him from being an elite CB and it will stop him if its not curbed.

Was a very good tackle, the type Kompany made all the time. Agree sometimes he need not be rash but can also know as a defender that you’re going to get the ball. Wasn’t a last ditch type

Thought he played well and his passing was pretty good - barely used his left foot though, which made it harder for him when playing as the left-sided centre-back.

As much as I don’t want to see our players injured, a good run in the team with a few injuries to others will do wonders for Kodir if he needs to relied upon.

I think he’s going to be mustard this lad!

Looked good again when he came on today.

Was going to write the same thing. The title might be beyond us, even if we didn't have injuries but the potential positive is that our wider squad gets game time and proves they're good enough. The treble winning squad had so many quality players that knew their jobs and had the trust of their teammates and us fans. We've still got a number with big question marks hanging over them, the only way those go is through game time. We need the squad depth back so time in the side is going to be good for him.

I would have certainly liked it if one of the boys did the same back to him later in the game but they all stood up for each other.

One of the reasons the team blew up last year was apparently because of bad characters. Can’t accuse any of the lads of that.

Came in, did well. Infuriated that **** Delap.

With Dias and Gvardiol out, it's his chance to shine and prove to Pep he can be chosen ahead of Ake.
