Not seen anything about replacing dave,we might buy for squad depth as dave and dinho are going but bernie/phil are daves replacements

You can give yourself wobble. In my opinion he is trying to justify it. Hence his huge praise for Gundogan against average team in Zagreb. He knows Gundogan is being criticised and there is glamour for Foden to play.

No other player receives that kind of support all of a sudden after decent performance.

Also further comments like he thinks he is underrated, constantly defending him basically. All suggests to me that he is trying to justify it.

Now or never for Foden , if he can't start a game after that shambles of a midfield display then there really is an issue between him and Pep , love Merlin but he looked tired today and Gundo will never create chances and score goals like Foden will. For f*cks sake put him in the team , he has never let us down and will give 100% commitment , he's a blue.

I do, and I think Gundo brings significantly more to the team as well. Is he aging and slowing! Absolutely, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t still a great player!

I’m not sure why people have the long knives out for him, esp considering that loss was absolutely not his fault!
