I'm not one to clamour for him to start every game but I do think it's time he started some league games now. Playing dead rubbers in the CL and cup games against lower league opposition is all well and good but if we want to know whether he's good enough to play at the highest level, there's really only one way to find out.
There are certain games that David physically can't keep up with and that's the perfect time to start Foden if we're not going to use Bernardo there. There's a window of opportunity between now and the summer when we potentially sign a Silva replacement where we can find out what Foden is actually capable of, I hope we use it. If we don't then he could be in the same position next season.
