I keep reading this but how do we really know if he is ready to step into this team without seeing him get substantial minutes under his belt, I fully understand that Pep's priority is the success on the field not giving Foden minutes but why not bring him on for the last 10 minutes rather than the last 3.

It's a long season and Foden literally has to start games during the festive period so I'm calm about his situation. However, there has to be a discussion in regards to Guardiola and youth development; we played two central defensive midfielders at CB instead of Garcia which has to make a statement regarding his own future at the club and how much trust Guardiola has on him and our youth as a whole.

The reason that Foden is not getting games is Peps I insistence to play Gundogan virtually every game. Really don’t know what his merits are to start virtually every game. He was mediocre again today and like a headless chicken towards the end

Like having your first child, there’s rarely an “ideal time”, so I hope we aren’t basing his playing time on that criteria.
