Phil needs to be played centrally in this England team. Forget all this clamour for Grealish to be played there and the fouls he is able to draw. Foden is on a different level to grealish on every aspect. He needs to be put in the middle. Sack off Mount or rice and have foden in the three then put sancho on the wing. Even be tempted to go Calvert-Lewin or rashford up top for him to slide balls in down the sides and start to stretch teams.
My city bias full on Bert mode here but Phil is miles better than anyone else in this England squad and if used correctly could light up this tournament and make it his own.

Fact is that a manager who likes footballers would easily get both Foden and Grealish into this England side. The bloke is beyond clueless

People rave over the handling of Foden however if he wasn’t a blue he’d have been long gone. Taken out the team far too often and easily when he’s without doubt in our top 3 players. No coincidence the majority of our games we haven’t won is when he’s left out. Not saying play every game but KDB rarely gets rested or dropped, why is Foden someone we need to wrap in cotton wool? We talks of the likes of Haaland Mbappe etc and Foden being close to their level, do you see them dropped or rested? It’s a shit myth that pep gets credit for how he’s handled him. In my opinion he’s handled him poorly.

as for England it’s a disgrace Sterling continues to play 90 odd minutes whilst Foden gets subbed. That’s a dinosaur of a manager for you

The stats speak for themselves. Pep is vastly over-rated as a coach. Whenever he's asked questions about his tactics, he simply says "keep the ball." Does he have any other strategies? Several City players play the safe ball, sideways or back. Geniuses like Phil are benched for taking risks. Tuchel has Pep's number because he isn't a one-track pony. Luckily, Phil loves City. : )
