A two year dip is a little long though don't you think?
To be fair, it's not quite two years. A year and a couple of months, but yeah, not great.

Yes. I don't buy the mind games argument, whatsoever. I don't know why he was benched but I suspect he was exhausted - he worked his socks off that year and it's hard to keep going to the well. I think that's a major reason why last season was such a problem for us: not just the physical injuries but also the mental fatigue of what we had needed to do in the previous two years.
I think, like Pep, I am willing Bernardo to rediscover his best form.
That's good management not mind games!?
Pep plays mind games with loads of players. Has done so throughout his entire managerial career and plenty of players have testified to it.
Just look at what he was doing with Kun and Dinho as soon as he arrived - two already well established players who were key to our success. Granted that rose to the challenge of it, but that doesn't mean all of them can. IMO it's unnecessary and part of his way of seemingly overthinking at times.
Mental fatigue lol it is a game football come on now, hardly like going to war.Yes. I don't buy the mind games argument, whatsoever. We differ in our opinions and that is cool.Mental fatigue lol it is a game football come on now, hardly like going to war.
Besides all of that you say lime Pep you hope he rediscovers his form, not gonna happen if you're in and out of the side.
Now in answer to your reply to the other guy, you sarcastically reply about playing 70 games.
No real need for it, the guy wasn't advocating playing every game and I suspect you know full well the context of his post.
But I'll give you the perfect example of a player that doesnt like being rotated... John Stones, he needs to be playing more often than not or his form disintegrates, even through injury he comes back and it is ages before he can look good again, current Stones is a huge asset the other Stones not so much.
The other example is Walker, without a good RB cover for the last two seasons he has looked jaded the last 2 months of the seasons as Danillo and then Cancelo were a huge drop off for the team.
If you mean wanting players to better themselves, that isn't mind games or, do you mean something else??

Of course mental fatigue is prevalent at the top end of elite sports. You don’t have to go to war to suffer from it.Mental fatigue lol it is a game football come on now, hardly like going to war.

Yup it must be hard to keep motivating yourself to be the best, probably drops off the richer they get.Of course mental fatigue is prevalent at the top end of elite sports. You don’t have to go to war to suffer from it.
I mean, yes. That’s the only factor that plays into ones mental state in such a highly regarded, well-watched pressure sport such as football.Yup it must be hard to keep motivating yourself to be the best, probably drops off the richer they get.
