Sorry I disagree with this

Think Sancho has an elite mentality but one different to Foden....I think the whole point was was he DID think he was good enough and he backed himself to be a starter at a top European club (which Dortmund are) at 18 and moved due to that, and has been a star

And those stats above are misleading
120 appearances vs 133, but how many are starts...just checked on whoscored

In the league only sancho has played
20/21 - 22(1), 1868 mins
19/20 - 25(7), 2292 mins
18/19 - 26(8), 2464 mins
17/18 - 7(5), 684mins

Whereas Foden has
20/21 - 15(10), 1448 mins
19/20 - 9(14), 893 mins
18/19 - 3(10), 330 mins
17/18 - 0(5), 45 mins

You can see its clear Sancho is completely justified in leaving, think that shows an elite mentality to have that much confidence in yourself

Love Phil, but this is the first year hes ever got real exposure to the Prem/Europe and has played about ad much as Sancho was doing 3 years ago

Foden is a generational talent, but so is Sancho....both have elite mentality
Elite mentalities don’t go AWOL

We are obviously very lucky to have him.
But also the timing.

Imagine he had come through pre takeover. Very unlikely we could have held on to him.
Now that would be hard to take!

Foden is playing in the best team of Europe, in the best system, in the best league, under the best manager.
Sancho is playing in a second-tier team of Europe, in the fourth league, under the average manager / managers.
Dias is playing in a third-tier team of Europe, in the third league, under the average manager / managers.

So in a short-term of course both Sancho and Diaz benefited from choosing the different career path, but in a long-term we see that Phil`s decision was right and he sees how "bright his frail deeds are dancing in a green bay.." :D <3

This season he is more complete player than Sancho by far. Also I think Sancho has some weight problem as well, kind of a lazy type of a player and not destined for the Pep`s discipline and system.

And if we consider the gain Phil will get during the next few years from Pep in terms of experience and overall football knowledge - I think we have an obvious winner here..

P.S As for me, after that Real Madrid goal - I thought that Diaz was the best talent by that time.. But since that, a lot of things happened..
