Are they not allowed to go out and have a good time? As long as they're being responsible and performing on the pitch, are they not allowed to celebrate one night after a win?
The issue is covid and a possible outbreak in the team, which in turn may harm our chances to win the league.

Seems unlikely to me.
I'll probably get slated for this but fairly or unfairly, Phil needs to be careful or he's going to develop a reputation. What people do in their private lives should be up to them, but unfortunately for him he's a public figure and will always attract extra scrutiny, especially during covid times.

Maybe. Pep did talk about the lengths the club are going to to create a safe environment for the squad and background staff though. Its not too wild a leap of the imagination to connect his dismay at society's lack of 'wearing masks and social distancing' with punishment for some unknown rule breaking or behaviour.Lots of imagination in this thread it seems.

They're getting tested every day before training. Pep's decided their punishment is worth what Laporte and Sterlign got when they said they'd like to play more, 1 game on the bench.
