Sign of a player who is just naturally on another level is being given any position and gameplan and executing it to perfection.
He wasn't the main man yesterday but he didn't need to be, just play to the instructions given and do a job, and do a job he did.
I'm so looking forward to following his career to the end. His ceiling has no limit.

This. So many people these days overlook a players ability to be tactically acute.

Biggest blessing in a long while that they were coaxed into resigning ronaldo, it automatically stunted Greenwood’s development, who red or not, is a potential worldy!

I think Greenwood is a Daniel Sturridge-level player, personally. Very sharp finisher but not sure he has enough about him to become a truly great player

Sometimes I wonder if some people have ever actually watched Messi?

I love Phil, but he's not as talented as Messi, there might not be another person that talented for 30 or 40 years.

It's an unnecessary comparison that set ridiculous expectation the kid is never going to live up to.
I have watched Messi in the flesh. A jaw-droppingly good footballer who got to the top of the tree.
I have watched Foden in the flesh. Also phenomenally talented. I would not rule him out of reaching the heights Messi has,

Much like Rashford we'll never know as long as he keeps having managers at United that can't improve him. Thankfully for me the England team is well stocked on wingers so I won't be upset to see any English United prospects fall by the wayside.

Foden doesn't have Messi's pace.

disagree there. they are about the same pace. but messi has higher pace with the ball at his feet and his ball control is outherworldy. but I do think foden can become as effective as messi if he is played in the false 9 in his own way.
