Been outstanding the past few games. He needs to sustain this level for the rest of the season and really consolidate his position in the starting 11 for club and country. It’s time for him to make the jump from generational prospect to key player.

He’s a wonderful player when on form.

Thought he was excellent tonight. He looked to be more confident playing one touch football—one of his gifts—and that take from the cross field pass was absolutely sublime.

Looking forward to seeing him hopefully start more with Grealish in the coming weeks, as I think they could become the most frightening duo in the league to opposing defenders, especially with Haaland and Kev lurking to finish their cutbacks if they don’t shoot themselves.

Superb performance from Phil. Maybe the best I've seen from any City player this season (I know it was only Bristol but still).
If he keeps it up we will be hard to beat for the rest of the season.

The interview on the OS was short but I think he has grown up a lot over the last 6 months. Not playing was maybe what the lad needed. I think he is about to go up to the level we all hoped he could.

It's not hyperbole when I say I honestly think he can be the worlds best one day. Certainly has all the tools.

Unplayable when hes in the form/mood. Hes had a long break so lets ride him for the rest of the season. Him playing will unlock haaland too.
