I just think this season is the first he has had real concrete defensive responsibilities to take care of ..witness his lung busting last second of the game tackle v Brighton.Great game just needs to add a few goals.
In previous seasons he has had far more advanced positions..left wing right wing false 9...many have said he needs to be more disciplined and Pep I feel will have instructed him that way..the effort he put in against Forest after scoring ,and then playing centre mid for a whole 2nd half a man down,is ,imo,being over looked..
It's a big learning curve for him adjusting to new responsibilities this season..I think he is doing just fine.the headless chicken player has gone,we now have a new Foden,playing in a team with two out and out strikers.This changes everything.
