First game back, but looked to get on the ball and dictate where he could. Should of done better with his chance but as Soon as he's match fit he'll be important for us.
Had that gone in, could have been one of the goals of the season. Wasn't to be though!First game back, but looked to get on the ball and dictate where he could. Should of done better with his chance but as Soon as he's match fit he'll be important for us.
To be fair he hasn’t played pretty much all season. He’ll find the form when he starts regularly again. After last season, my expectations for Phil are sky high. In that context, I felt he could've taken a bit more ownership of creating something when he came on. I don't think he was bad, by any means, but he's the reigning Player of the Season and scored a hatful from outside the box last term, so I just kept hoping he'd step up with a big moment
Hopefully still finding his form and fitness and back to his best soon
I'm calling this here..
With Rodri out for the season.. Pep will make Foden into a 6/8/10 hybrid.
He's commented about moving him there before but the injury maybe forces his hand. He's done it before.. going back to the CB's to get the ball and progressing it forward.
He certainly has the capability and understands what we need and he's not a small guy who can be bullied around.
This will be Foden's season as a deep lying playmaker.
Bernardo absolutely has the ability just doesn't have the presence sometimes required in thereNeither Foden nor Stones are the answer. Kova, Gundo, Bernie and Lewis (together with another player). Pep played Bernie as a 6 at Arsenal last season and we were a bit unlucky to lose.
