I would say exactly the same about anyone in any industry or walk of life who is suffering from burn-out.Tbh my comment was in response to a poster saying he should have a good few months to recuperate . I wish I could have time off but I have to work like everyone else .
Oh dear, do you really think he can play with bronchitis? Aside from the fact we don’t want him spreading his infection around the clubDon’t we all need a rest mate but it’s called life and we have to work for our money . He gets paid a lot of money to play football and I’m sorry I hope he feels better he needs to just get on with it .
Depends whether the back four is Ederson at left back, SimpsonPusey and Walker at centre back and Lewis at right back through the Winter though. The way they’re dropping like flies week-after-week at the back is going to stop us being as good as we could be.Can't wait until he's back and will hit form.
KDB, Grealish and Foden, along with a new midfielder, and the league will be shitting themselves.
If it is bronchitis, I have only had this once and I was about 24 or 25. So it was a long time ago. I was signed off work for two weeks and I wasn't great after that and remember I was proper poorly. If he has got bronchitis he'll be on antibiotics and will feel like crap. He won't be back for a good three weeks at least, no matter how first class the facilities, it's not like a pulled muscle that will get top notch treatment.Perhaps our medics advised him not to play ?
Pretty sure that's part of their role.
I made a post earlier about bronchitis but then deleted as I couldn't be arsed. If it is bronchitis, I have only had this once and I was about 24 or 25. So it was a long time ago. Phil goes missing when the team plays shite, needs to pull his socks up and get a gripReally hope he will find his form back asap, a world class player need to step up in these trying times. Last year we still had prime Rodri, but right now I would like to see him being the player that can turn things around and give fans hope(just like Ruben back in 20/21).
Perhaps he could play 10 minutes. But honestly the match was gone when Juve scored the 2nd goal. No need to risk anything. Why even bring him if he's not able to play ten minutes? He wasn't deemed sick enough to get others ill.
There was a giant hole in that RCM spot for him to get shots off.
To be fair you could say that about every player right nowPhil goes missing when the team plays shite, needs to pull his socks up and get a grip
Just a reminder that last season he won the PFA's Premier League Player of the Season, the Premier League's Player of the Season, and the Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year. Now, just 6 months later, and after a stop start season due to injury and illness, along with being one of the players who started the season later due to his involvement in the Euros up to and including the final, people are writing him off. It’s sad to see but he’s nowhere near reaching his potential.
The lad is not a kid anymore.
His target should be Ballon d’or and captaining his club and country, and he’s nowhere, nowhere near it.

I fucking despair at times!

We need consistency from all our players mate and we're getting it from hardly anyone at the moment. I'm sure Foden - as will many other players - will be back on it before longExactly.
Hot and cold, and he has been for some time.
It isn’t good enough. We need consistency from Phil. He should be driving the team forwards right now.
Frankly, a bit like with Jack I’m not sure I totally buy the constant non-specific injuries and illnesses.
What you talking about? He was brilliant last year. That was potential realised in my opinion. He's never going to be Messi. No one is.It’s sad to see but he’s nowhere near reaching his potential.
