Boggles my mind how many players (including Phil) are getting criticized today.

Pep set them up to fail, remember that.
Do you think prime KDB or David Silva wouldn’t have still done and produced more in terms of effort in a game like that tonight? The excuses for Foden are off the scale. Countless games for England when he’s done fuck all and it was all on Southgate. Now it’s Pep when he’s strolling through games for City

His lack of efforts probably fucking boredom,
I agree with all your other points, but his underlying numbers still say he's working hard for the team. This was just lack week versus Newcastle.

He needs to start performing, though, or he's going to find himself on the outside looking in for England AND potentially City, although that's a long way off. This is his first real downseason despite being a first-teamer for eight years now.

Jesus lad, call it for what you see he’s not been good enough both on and off the ball simple. One of the reasons where we are at this season.
This season..you never said this season.

You said ‘300k a week plus my mind boggles’. I was just saying why he’s on that. He’s been brilliant most of his city career

He will be defended til the end of time ,cause he is citys own academy player ,cant judge it ,but i don´t care about that much. Fact is he´s having a really bad season.

KdB and Silva didn't get shafted as hard as our team did by Pep.

Tactical disasterclass from him.

Basically everybody looked bad.

Yes he should have done more for that goal, but where’s the defence?
Gvardiol had a stinker tonight Mbappe ran them all ragged but that was appalling by Foden to just let him waltz passed him.

Hes been shit in all aspects of his game this season but his off the ball work might just be the worst of the lot.

He’s been primed as Silva’s replacement and Kevin’s, he’s not near their level in ability or mentality that’s what 300k should get you.
This season I agree, but last season and others he’s shown he can make the difference and be a crucial part of a title winning side - you can’t deny that.

Not sure why you keep bringing up his wages either. No ones playing well this season including all of our 300k players

Fuck that. Can't be picking and choosing when you want to show up and do your job.
That's not fair. This is the first season of Phil's already long career that he's not been at it, and it's coming off the back of him winning a POTY. NO ONE is on it this season.

He started looking dangerous just before he was subbed - wish Pep had taken Savinho off instead. Otherwise very mediocre, like everyone else.

Didn’t look keen for their third goal but I agree with whoever said upthread that it shouldn’t have been him dealing with it anyway.

I genuinely don’t think it’s lack of interest. He seems bewildered a lot of the time. They’re all out of sync.
