Never thought I'd see 'one of our own' back out of tackles, and generally just be pushed about in a Derby of all games

Not sure what the answer is tbh, but you'd be crazy to think this is just a 'season off' etc

He hasn't got the mentality and drive to be the main man, he needs top players around him at the top of their game

Moving him on sounds harsh, but we shouldn't be sentimental if things don't improve next season

If he has another season like this one, he'll miss out on the World Cup, and his value will drop like a stone.

He got clattered by Fattymero early doors (should have been at least a YC as it was off the ground and out of control - Remember Vinny in the same fixture a few seasons back?), and never really recovered.

On top of that, he's been struggling with illness this season. Still willing to pull on a shirt and battle for his team. More than happy to allow him an off-season.

Struggling with illness all season? What's actually been up with him that's lasted all these months?

Still has 10 goals this season. His absolute worst is better than many people's best. It's just that his lack of form and confidence has come off the back of a tremendous season, so it makes it look worse. Guarantee next season he will be back on the horse and many people will be eating some humble pie.

Value is irrelevant. He's never being sold.

Some of the posts on the last few pages. Embarrassing.

So you'd keep him however he was playing?

This is a business, he's an asset that's possibly at peak value. If he doesn't massively improve next season, his value drops like a stone.

This is elite football. There's no room for 'past their best' passengers... As Pep knows.

I'll be happy to eat humble pie if he gets back to last season's levels. I somehow doubt that his heart is in it now.

What with the ball when’s he got it himself? He can’t burst past anybody these days
Well yeah he's been utterly shocking with the ball and I've given up on him this season, hopefully it's just temporary and he comes back to his best but I'm not certain about it.

He may neve have another season quite like the previous one. But do fully expect him to be considerably better. For our sake, he has to be.

It doesn't matter what I think. City aren't selling him.

Realistically, no team is ever going to give us a fee of what is "peak value" is.

Funny your last line, because Pep so far has proven that completely wrong so far with his fucking team selections all season. The majority of the team starting today is "past their best".

You mean the poor lad has to endure a physical tackle during a Manchester derby? He’s once of the worst i’ve seen for rolling about like he’s been shot after any tackles against him. Only to spring up and be fine if we still happen to to have the ball.

Needs to grow a pair and fast

1. City would take a big offer. Business is business.

2. His peak value was last season. It's all downhill from now if he doesn't improve his game. On today's performance, I'd even swap him for Bruno Fernandes.

3. Pep knows very well that most are past their best. It's his and Txiki's fault due to dreadful succession planning over the last couple of years (at least). I wouldn't be at all surprised if he quits at the end of this season if we win the FA Cup.

Honestly, I'm so grateful for him to be 'pulling his shirt on' and battling for the team, when he's going through such hypothetical illnesses, that haven't been confirmed anywhere.

How dare Casemiro put a physical tackle in on one of our players in a Derby; one that literally sent Foden packing, as he did absolutely nothing after sulking on the floor for a few minutes like a little boy.

The lads on 300k a week, and is meant to be a blue. The absolute least I'd have expected today, was him showing Casemiro that he wasn't hurt and just getting on with it. Instead he set the tone for his game, and was rightfully hauled off (again!) after an hour, and then hobbled down the tunnel after the game.

He seriously needs to toughen up
