I think the Dele Ali comparison is both lazy and very very very drastic.

But there is a reality in which if he has another year like he did last year, and he has 1 year left on his deal and he is going to want to be one of the top earners in the squad, there may have to be a tough conversation if he doesn't at least begin to show more of what we saw in 23/24 and less of what we saw last year.

They will extend him regardless look at Dias. This guy got an extension even though you can see that he is declining

Well he's got a big season coming up especially with him not being selected for the current England squad. He's going to have to find / regain the form if he wants to go to the World Cup.

Maybe he was left out due to injury.

Can you expand this? Its quite a statement!

I get about illness/injury but Foden has been the FAs diamond since he was small. There is no way they would be happy with him opting out. I find it all very odd and something seems to have gone on.

Foden hasn’t done anything ever in the England squad to even warrant a starting position. His stats are absolute terrible no matter where he played. It just doesn’t work for him. Pretty sure Tuchel will prefer someone like Gordon at LW

Should be playing him as the 10.

Doesn’t suit him because they persist with Bellingham and Kane drops too deep. England would actually win something if they dropped Kane and Bellingham.
