47 | Phil Foden - 2025/26

Pep is keeping Phil in cotton wool, Bernado might be gone in January, so it makes sense to me.

Foden was knackered, that's all. If there's a player in the squad that needs to be kept in cotton wool that's Rodri. And he played 98 minutes. The team comes first. Bernardo old legs Silva is fit, that's why Pep kept him on the pitch despite being on a yellow card.

He is obsessed with Bernardo that’s why. Even last season when there were better players than Bernardo he still started

If we are to sit back and try win chances on the break I think Bernie is a better fit for that than Foden in the middle, if anything Reinjders was playing where Foden should have

I love that Phil Foden. The one where he knows he is the best player on the pitch and is willing to show it. Thats the version that won player of the year. Granted it was against vastly inferior opposition but its not really about who he was up against, it's his mentality and approach to the game that was the key thing to see.

Carry it through to Burnley now please Phil. Expect him to have a stormer at the weekend.

Took his goal well and thought his assist for Sav was class. So good to see him back.

Once you see him pulling of flicks and scoring outside the box … yea he’s back. Finally !

Played like the senior player of the team. Captain’s performance.

Just wish the away end had sang his song after his goal… it did come out a bit as he went off in the second half but only a chunk of the away end joined in.

Whatever was going on with Phil last season, both physical and mental fitness, definitely seems to be behind him.

It’s great to see him grow into a real leader of this team and bloody hell we need him at the moment.

I still think his bad performance at the Euros last summer was as a major factor for his bad form last season. You can tell when a player has the hunger for football, he didn’t have that spark last season. This season he’s popping up everywhere and wanting the ball.

Phil is really maturing as a person and that is feeding into his football.

He is only 25 but he is one of our senior players now. Heaven knows what his ceiling is.

His performance last night even included the kind of passes that we thought we had lost with Kev going. It is also apparent that he has benefited from playing with people like KDB and Gundo.

Just keep on improving, Phil.
